Meet Bill Yanger

Born and raised in Tampa, Bill Yanger has spent the last 34 years serving his community and the residents of Hillsborough County, where he raised his children and currently resides with his love, Sherry. Bill attended Jesuit High School in Tampa and is a University of Florida alum. In 1986, he graduated from the South Texas College of Law. Throughout his career, Bill has worked on a wide range of legal matters, including workers’ compensation, criminal law, family law and social security disability, with a focus on complex business litigation the last 20 years. 

Bill is the founder of Yanger Law Group, P.A., and was awarded the AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. As county court judge, Bill’s extensive experience in the field will guide his decisions, always considering what’s at stake for the parties involved and the wider community. 

A lifelong engaged and active member of the Tampa community, Bill has worked with a number of local organizations including the Hillsborough Early Childhood Council, the Bayshore Little League, and the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, where he previously served as Chair. He has also been a member of the Board of Fellows at the University of Tampa, his parents’ alma mater. Bill and Sherry are congregants of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.

In 1986, I stepped into the courtroom for the first time. In the 34 years since, I’ve learned a lot about the law and about life. As a county court judge, I’ll use those experiences to guide my decisions, always knowing what’s at stake for the parties involved and the community we all call home.
